On April 18, 2018, the Ukrainian chapter of the global anti-corruption network Transparency International is conducting the training Help or Pressure: How to Get the Most out of the Relations with the Authorities.

During the event, the participants will learn how to build relationships with government bodies effectively, plan a successful advocacy campaign and define clear communication goals. 

If you are an activist, work with local authorities and would like to improve the results of your cooperation significantly, this training will give you the opportunity to receive useful advice and feedback. During the event, it will be Yaroslav Yurchysyn, the director of the Ukrainian chapter of the global anti-corruption networkTransparency International, who will work with the participants.

The event will take place on April 18 from 10 AM until 6 PM in Dnipro; the organizers will provide further information.

The training includes:

  • Understanding of advocacy, lobbying and governmental attitudes; practical examples
  • How to formulate a plan for advocacy campaigns (essential planning steps include problem statement, goal setting, defining necessary resources)
  • How to select effective communication channels and determine key messages for target audience
  • Most common failures and mistakes of advocacy campaigns

The number of participants is limited. We invite the representatives of local civil society organizations of Dnipro and other cities of Dnipropetrovsk oblast to take part in the event.
