On November 25, the Selection Board has approved a list of candidates who comply with the eligibility criteria at its second meeting. Thirty applicants move on while two have been eliminated.

The schedule of the selection procedure, including the essay, the written test, and interviews, has become public today.

“Interviews with all the candidates will be held approximately on December 11–13. However, the exact date is yet to be defined. The law provides quite a limited time frame for the entire procedure. We are doing everything to announce the winner by December 19,” says co-chair of the Selection Board, TI Ukraine’s Head of Legal Kateryna Ryzhenko.

The Board has also decided that, due to the potential conflict of interest, Kateryna Ryzhenko will not participate in analysis and discussion of three candidates, and Vitalii Shabunin — of one candidate.

As a reminder, on November 22, the Cabinet of Ministers has published the paperwork of candidates for the position of the Head of the NACP. The Selection Board has received 32 applications, including those from a former member of the NACP, 7 representatives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, three — of the Prosecutor General’s Office, and three members of the bar community.
