The Ministry of Healthcare recommends that the staff and children alike have their temperature measured in schools and kindergartens. DOZORRO project experts investigated how non-contact infrared thermometers, pyrometers, were bought for this purpose for public funds.

According to the school procurement map, overall, 3,200 pyrometers for UAH 4.7 million have been purchased for schools and kindergartens through the Prozorro system.

Their price varies from UAH 700 to UAH 3,500. The most popular models cost between 1 and 2 thousand.

Kropyvnytskyi bought the highest number of pyrometers for educational institutions via Prozorro — 656 items for UAH 1 million. It is followed by Kyiv (582), Lviv (308) and Uzghorod (227).

The fewest were bought by Chernivtsi — 5, Chernihiv — 7, and Kramatorsk (Donetsk oblast) — 8.

You can find out more about the procurement of pyrometers in the publication by Yaroslav Pylypenko and Pavlo Lisnychenko.
