The Ukrainian chapter of the global anti-corruption network Transparency International invites everyone interested to the workshop “The Case of Zhytomyr: Dialogue with the Community as the Basis for an Effective Open City.”
During the event, we will talk over what to do to make a city more successful and comfortable for residents. Looking at the bigger picture, we will discuss what effective management in the interests of the community is and how to create a strategy of the city’s development using the ideas of the residents, not the hands of civil servants. Also, we will talk about an open budget as a basis of authorities’ transparency. As part of the event, we will review grant programs as a tool of activation of public organizations work and will answer the question why it is important to implement schools of Socio-Cultural Management and Local Government. Progressive representatives of Zhytomyr city council will speak about all this and more.
