On March 13, PJSC UkrGasVydobuvannya and ProZorro.Sale signed a memorandum of cooperation regarding the new joint project of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, the State Property Fund and Transparency International Ukraine that will influence the whole public procurement sector.

‘We have been working with ProZorro for two years. This project proved to be an efficient instrument of procurement,’ said Andrii Tokar, Logistics Director of PJSC UkrGasVydobuvannya. “As soon as we heard about the new project, we immediately decided to join and to become a leader, as we did with the ProZorro project. We currently have several lots that are ready for sale. They include different kinds of scrap metal, used batteries, oils etc. Our lots amount to thousands of tons and they are worth almost 500 million hryvnias in total. We hope that this sum will increase with the assistance of a transparent sales system and competition,” he added.

Oleksii Soboliev, the Head of ProZorro.Sale Project Office, recalled that companies that are willing to join the undertaking are welcome to contact the team through the official website.

Maksym Nefiodov (First Deputy Minister of Trade and Economic Development) noted that the system has been tested for five months as a preliminary project designed for selling Deposit Guarantee Fund assets. It became mandatory in February. ‘The value of the sold property is approaching 200 million hryvnias. We studied the efficiency of sales, conversion rates and percentages of price growth. They indicate that the system is truly efficient. Therefore, we desire to use it for assets of state-owned companies,’ he said.

It should be recalled that in September 2016 the Deposit Guarantee Fund and the NGO Transparency International Ukraine signed an official agreement of cooperation concerning the pilot project of insolvent banks’ assets sales. Two months later, in November, ProZorro.Sale demonstrated exemplary work during the first real auction.
