Today, a website with online analytics of state-owned enterprises ProZvit was presented for the first time, in the Cabinet of Ministers press center. This is another project to which the Innovation Projects Program of Transparency International Ukraine has contributed.

Back in 2016, changes were made to Economic Code of Ukraine, stipulating new principles of functioning of state-owned enterprises. Among other things, publication of all the information about their work was made mandatory. We believe that openness and transparency of financial information should be one of the most important priorities in the activity of state-owned enterprises.

“Everything that was secret just a few years ago is becoming not just public now, but easily available and convenient. Resources like this one enable every journalist or experts to check how much profit or loss this or that enterprise has made. And this is an extra opportunity for the public to control what is happening in the country,” said Executive Director of TI Ukraine Andrii Borovyk. “We believe that practical implementation of openness and transparency in the activity of state-owned enterprises will make them more efficient.”

Since the beginning of 2019, contributing to the website database has been made mandatory for all Ukrainian state-owned enterprises by a joint order of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Development. State-owned enterprises are obliged to upload all financial reporting and financial plans.

The website provides an opportunity to look at the basic statistics of the number of state-owned enterprises of all forms of ownership and with their financial results.

The ProZvit service has been developed by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade in cooperation with the Reform Support Team of the Ministry of Economic Development, Prozorro.Sale, with the support of Transparency International Ukraine and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
