The finish line of the third stage of the HACC competition is near – 237 out of 238 applicants have already passed the screening and admission procedure. Thus, as a result of productive work over the month, the HQCJ admitted 160 out of 237 contestants to the qualification evaluation.

The Commission still needs to decide on the admission of the final candidate, current HACC judge Vitalii Dubas, to participate in the competition. On May 14, they decided to postpone considering his candidacy due to a conflict of interest involving Oleh Koliush, a member of the HQCJ, who, while serving as a judge of the HACC, was on the same panel as Vitalii Dubas.

In addition, we note that some disqualified contestants (currently three of them) have begun to exercise their right to appeal the disqualification decisions. As a result, the HQCJ in plenary session will re-examine their decision on June 5. It’s possible that these appeals won’t be the last regarding the commission’s decisions in this competition.
