Every international business working in Russia contributes to sponsoring its aggression against Ukraine. TI Ukraine urges these international companies to stop supporting Russian economy.

Since February 24, Ukrainian cities and towns have been shelled by the Russian military. They struck a daycare in Okhtyrka, launched Grad rockets at an orphanage in Vorzel and hit an apartment building near Kyiv airport with a rocket. The Russian military blew up a gas pipeline in Kharkiv and an oil depot in Vasylkiv. In the capital, an infiltration team shot down a family with three children. The parents and one child were killed.

Over four days, 352 civilians were killed, 14 of them children, and at least 1600 wounded. Hundreds of thousands of people have so far been forced out of their homes.

Every day Russian aggression harms peaceful people of Ukraine

By doing business in Russia, international companies finance the murder of Ukrainians and Putin’s sick ambitions with their taxes. The money they pay to the Russian state budget is spent on weapons and military equipment. That is how businesses sponsor the war, which Russia started not only against Ukraine, but the whole civilized world.

Supporting this regime is unacceptable for companies that value human lives and freedom above all. It is unacceptable for businesses that respect democracy, human rights, and states’ independence and sovereignty. Facing the financial risks connected with leaving the Russian market is nothing in comparison with reputational losses entailed for those who stay. They will be remembered forever.

We believe that international companies have to make a choice now, in support of truth, and should stop all operations in Russia.

We are certain that the customers and stakeholders of these businesses will support their choice all over the world! We must defeat the enemy of the peaceful world together.
