What would British justice for corrupt Ukrainian officials be like? On March 15, 7 p.m. the “Global Experience: Political Corruption in the UK. Lessons for Ukraine” lecture will be held at Kyiv-Mohyla Business School on Voloska St., 8/5, building 4, lecture hall 425.
In light of the notable case of the Chairman of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, Roman Nasirov, failure to punish and fine officials guilty of corruption, and lack of investigations into the “Family” (mafia formation) of Yanukovych, civil society is interested in corruption investigation process according to the best Western practices.

Duncan Hames, Director of policy for the British chapter of Transparency International will talk about political corruption in the UK, peculiarities of the national legislation, and successes and challenges of British corruption fighters.
Duncan Hames was Nick Clegg’s parliamentary secretary while he was the Deputy Prime Minister. Before working for the Parliament Duncan was a senior advisor on management issues having ten year experience in this sphere. He worked as a member of the State Agency board and ran its audit committee.
The event will be moderated by Andrii Sliusar, Head of fighting grant corruption programme at Transparency International Ukraine.
The lecture will be organized by Transparency International Ukraine with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation Ukraine. Language of the lecture: English. Simultaneous interpretation into Ukrainian is provided.
