On March 30, the deadline for submitting documents for participation in the competition has passed. The HQCJ concluded that a total of 238 people agreed to participate in the selection.

Of these, 153 persons applied for 15 vacant positions in the first instance of the HACC and 85 persons applied for 10 vacant positions in the Appeals Chamber of the HACC.

However, not everyone will be admitted to the competition because the HQCJ still has to analyze the documents submitted by them and screen out candidates who do not meet the requirements for a judge of the Anti-Corruption Court or have submitted documents with violations.

On March 28, the HQCJ was provided with a list of 12 candidates for the positions of members of the Public Council of International Experts (PCIE). This list includes lawyers, prosecutors, attorneys, and judges from the United States, Canada, Finland, Switzerland, Lithuania, Ireland, Slovenia, South Africa, and the Netherlands.

Now, the commission must select 6 people out of 12. They will help the HQCJ select the best candidates at further stages of the competition.

In total, 25 professionals shall be selected to the HACC: 15 are to join the first instance, and 10 will work in the appellate instance. Read more about the importance of this competition in the material by Andrii Borovyk, the executive director of TI Ukraine.
