To mark 5 years of the High Anti-Corruption Court’s operation, Transparency International Ukraine presents the HACC Decided platform. This is the only comprehensive resource covering high-profile corruption cases of the HACC, containing all court decisions, details, infographics with the course of key events in cases, and analytics by experts.
Over five years of its operation, the High Anti-Corruption Court has already passed more than 200 sentences, thus destroying the stereotype about Ukraine not serving justice for corruption. Another 300 cases are at different stages of trial. For people interested in the activities of the HACC to understand such an array of anti-corruption cases and easily find the necessary information about various proceedings, TI Ukraine has developed a special platform called HACC Decided.
The main feature of the new resource is an extensive and convenient search system. Users will be able to find all the necessary information by keywords or the name of the defendant. Therefore, if the user needs to find out the details of the case regarding a particular high-ranking official, they only have to enter the name of the person involved in the search field, and the system will find the necessary proceedings.
The platform also provides for an extended search by the name of the judge, prosecutor, defense counsel, type of sentence, date of decision announcement, etc., which will be useful for specialists in the legal field, journalists, and all interested parties.
In addition, TI Ukraine experts work on case descriptions, and users will find not only documents from the system but also aggregated information about each case, the stages of its trial, the positions of the defense and prosecution parties. Each such information card comes with an interactive infographic with the course of key events, which can also be downloaded to your device.
Apart from case descriptions, TI Ukraine experts work on monthly analytics on cases involving MPs, oligarchs, and senior officials. The platform also publishes prompt news right from court hearings.
“TI Ukraine has monitored the operation of the HACC since the first day of its launch; our experts regularly attend court hearings and study the activities of the court, and all this work has eventually resulted in the HACC Decided website. Our platform aims to introduce more people to the complex world of countering high-profile corruption, provide all possible information about each case, as well as give specialists in the legal field a convenient toolkit for new research in this area. We urge everyone interested to test our new platform!” stated Kateryna Ryzhenko, Deputy Executive Director for Legal Affairs at Transparency International Ukraine.
Now, interested parties won’t have to spend time searching for information about high-profile corruption cases, roaming the array of news and registers, and looking for legal explanations of the trial. The system created by our experts will do this for you.
The HACC Decided platform was created by Transparency International Ukraine within the framework of the USAID/ENGAGE activity, which is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Pact. The contents of this platform are the sole responsibility of Pact and its implementing partners and do not necessary reflect the views of USAID or the United States Government.
We strive to create the most convenient tool that would help in finding information about the cases of the Anti-Corruption Court, so if you have suggestions for improving the product or would like to leave your feedback, please contact us by e-mail [email protected]
