A joint meeting of the High Qualification Commission of Judges and the Public Council of International Experts is scheduled for 28 January. Review of two candidates’ compliance with integrity criteria is scheduled: Viacheslav Pikovskyi and Iryna Smaznova.
Earlier, we wrote that the deadline for such joint meetings is 26 January, which would be consistent with the “30-day period” deadline after publication of the candidates’ written test results.
TI Ukraine is requesting the High Qualification Commission of Judges to clarify their interpretation of notion “30-day period” and whether the meeting scheduled for 28 January does not violate the law.

The two principal questions asked in the letter are:
- Which day is considered the thirtieth day since the publication of the candidates’ written test results under the Law of Ukraine “On the High Anti-Corruption Court”?
- Is the special joint meeting of the HQCJ and the PCIE held on 28 January considered one held no later than within 30 days after publication of the candidates’ written test results?
