On December 21, Transparency International Ukraine and the State Property Fund signed a memorandum of cooperation.
From now on, TI Ukraine and the Fund will fight corruption in public authorities together, promote reform and make property sales more efficient.
“Today, we have formalized our partnership with the State Property Fund. The new team of the Fund has very ambitious tasks. We are happy to join another reform in the sector of public property. I sincerely believe that our ambitious goals will be achieved —the reform of the evaluation market, institutional changes, and privatization, which should be as efficient and transparent as possible. Let’s start,” says TI Ukraine’s Executive Director Andrii Borovyk.
The experts of TI Ukraine will be improving the Fund’s information systems and provide recommendations, help with the development of legislation and public campaigns.
In addition, it is planned to work with public authorities and local authorities in the sphere of property sales.
As a reminder, Transparency International Ukraine administered the creation of a public sales system working on the principles of ProZorro. After successful pilot projects with the Deposit Guarantee Fund, ProZorro.Sale was joined by other national and local partners.
Today, small-scale privatization objects of national and municipal property are sold through the syste. TI Ukraine has transferred ProZorro.Sale to the government and continues to support the project, now managed by a state-owned enterprise.
I sincerely believe that our ambitious goals will be achieved —the reform of the evaluation market, institutional changes, and privatization, which should be as efficient and transparent as possible.
