Transparency International Ukraine celebrates another year of its full accreditation in Ukraine. Let us tell you what we have become for the state and how we are strengthening it on a special landing page.
Transparency International Ukraine is an accredited chapter of the global movement Transparency International, which takes a comprehensive approach to the development and implementation of changes for reduction of corruption levels.
In 2012, the organization received the status of a national chapter of Transparency International, and after 2 years, at a meeting of members of the global anti-corruption movement, received full accreditation. Since then, it has been helping the state grow stronger and more resilient in key areas.
What we have become for the state and citizens
The culture of TI Ukraine’s work is always focused on co-creating changes with the state, uniting stakeholders, and constructive partnership, rather than destructive opposition.
And we continue to work in many areas to make Ukraine more capable. This includes the anti-corruption front, asset recovery, the fight for competitive public procurement and effective public property management, international cooperation, the presentation of the Corruption Perceptions Index, and the development of an action plan for the authorities to improve the performance of our state.
Over the years of our work, we:
- created digital products with partners to reduce corruption levels — Prozorro, Prozorro.Sale, eHealth, Prozvit, and the Register of Declarations;
- introduced Transparency and Accountability Rankings of cities for improvement at the local level,
- created the DOZORRO and RISE Ukraine communities to control public resources;
- developed more than 80 studies and analytical notes in the areas of urban transparency, procurement, the work of anti-corruption bodies, etc.;
- co-authored dozens of laws and amendments to legislative acts and promoted all the developed changes and contributed to their implementation.
During this time, we have received many awards and prizes that speak to the importance of our work.
“Over the years, the state has changed, the organization has also changed. The team grew stronger, there were more and more challenges, trust in TI Ukraine also grew. The journey showed that the Ukrainian chapter of Transparency was established, becoming an independent, professional, proactive, expert organization. We have a reputation as a reliable partner for both the state and international partners. This is something to be proud of,” says Andrii Borovyk, Executive Director of TI Ukraine.
Each year was interesting and eventful, with challenges and risks, but 2022 has been the most difficult. The organization is ready for the next 10 years to be filled with new challenges. In particular, it is important to preserve independent anti-corruption institutions, introduce transparent and accountable approaches to reconstruction, and prevent the rollback of reforms to pre-revolutionary times.
TI Ukraine will continue to strengthen the country by proposing and implementing ideas together with all stakeholders. Join us!
By the way, the DOZORRO project also celebrates its birthday today!
And on this occasion, we invite you to get to know this wonderful team and what it does. On the site, you will find stories about the favorite moments of the team’s work and its main achievements.
