To what extent is Pyryatyn a transparent city? This was the issue that activists from the Pyryatynski Initsiatyvy (Pyryatyn Initiatives) group reflected upon after Transparency International presented the Transparency Ranking of 100 Ukrainian Cities in June 2017. Since the city is not on the list of the 100 biggest Ukrainian cities, it did not participate in the rating. Nevertheless, it did not stop the representatives of the civil society from measuring the transparency level of Pyryatyn on their own, using TI Ukraine’s methodology.

We invite government representatives, journalists and everyone interested in the life of the city to the presentation of the study findings on the transparency level of Pyryatyn local authorities. The presentation will be held as part of the TI Ukraine project Building Transparency in Ukrainian Cities on December 4, from 11PM to 1PM at the Center for the Civic Dialogue (House of Culture, 2nd floor) in Pyryatyn, str. Soborna 51.

  • Project Coordinator of the project Building Transparency in Ukrainian cities of Transparency International Ukraine Kateryna Tsybenko
  • Head of the “Pyryatyn Initiatives” group Bohdan Bondarenko
  • A Pyryatyn municipal council representative has been invited
