The Ukrainian chapter of the international anti-corruption organization Transparency International conducts a two-day training “Corruption and Fighting It: Regional Dimension” in Shostka on April 16-17. At the event, the participants will find out more on how to prevent acts of corruption at the local level and how to find support in other non-governmental and international organizations.
The training is a great opportunity to get answers to questions that interest you from experts with successful experience with conducting anti-corruption campaigns in the regions.
The training consists of the following parts:

  • The cost of corruption at the regional level: economic and social aspects;
  • Legal tools for fighting corruption – how to use them;
  • The role of society in fighting corruption: how to prevent acts of corruption;
  • Corruption at the local level: monitoring of allocation of budget funds and analysis of completed works;
  • Anti-corruption coalitions: how to get support at the regional level from international and non-governmental organizations.

The number of participants is limited. The representatives of regional non-governmental organizations of various profiles, public activists and people interested in the subject of fighting corruption at the local level are welcome to attend the event. The participation is free. The organizers provide food and handouts. Travel and accommodation expenses of the participants are not reimbursed.
