The Ukrainian chapter of the global anti-corruption organization Transparency International is holding a two-day seminar “Corruption and Countermeasures: Regional Dimension” in Odesa on August 30th and 31st. During this event, the participants will learn how to prevent acts of corruption at the local level and how to find support both among domestic and international NGOs.
This workshop is an excellent opportunity to learn from specialists who have a successful experience in leading anti-corruption campaigns at the local level. The workshop program consists of the following parts:

  • The cost of corruption in regional terms: economic and social aspects
  • Legal tools to fight corruption: practical aspects
  • The role of society in fighting corruption: how to prevent acts of corruption
  • Corruption at the local level: monitoring of budget fund allocation and analyzing the execution of performed activities
  • Anti-corruption coalitions:  how to get support at the regional level from international and non-governmental organizations

The number of participants is limited. Representatives of regional non-governmental organizations, public activists and people interested in fighting corruption at the local level are welcome to attend the event. The participation is free of charge. The coordinators provide food and handouts. You will be informed about being selected for the workshop after registration additionally.
