Transparency International Ukraine and the Institute of Political Studies will study the transparency of Ukrainian cities and stimulate citizens to shape their own city policy, says Kateryna Tsybenko, coordinator of the project, and Oleksandr Solontai, the researcher of the project “Building Transparent Cities in Ukraine”, on the air of the Ukrainske Radio (Eng.: Ukrainian Radio). “We will provide activists, journalists and government officials with a set of tools for fighting corruption and improving transparency. However, they have to take a proactive stance and demonstrate a strong political will to change for the better. We provide local initiatives with the necessary tools and financial support, thus their successful implementation depends on citizens,” explained Kateryna Tsybenko, coordinator of the project.
