This course will provide information on the social activity and pay a special attention to such issues as government / public contracts, especially procurement and state / municipal property operations.
– an effective tool to perform social demands (roads without potholes, well-equipped hospitals and research institutes, well-equipped army and police, and culture that is not in decay etc.);
– a constant information source for the society on public resources and effectively;
– mutual respect and trust between the state authorities performed the role of an employee and the society performed the role of its employer (business, civil society activists, citizens (including the state authorities employees).
Where and how do public contracting authorities spend money? Is it effective? How to find and analyze any procurement and information related to it? You will get answers to all of these questions in the online distance course. You will study the methods and monitoring tools, and learn how to use them effectively your interaction with the work of non-governmental organizations and ordinary citizens to understand the quality of social benefits for each (the road repair or were purchased by a school or a kindergarten).
The main lectures of the course are leading Ukrainian and international experts and public activists (Yaroslav Yurchyshyn (Transparency International), Oleksa Shalayskiy («Nashi groshi»), Oleksandr Starodubtsev (Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine) etc.).
