On June 25th and 26th, the Ukrainian chapter of international anti-corruption organization Transparency International is holding a 2-day workshop “Corruption and Fighting It: Regional Dimension” in the city of Drohobych. During this event, participants will learn about preventing acts of corruption at the local level and searching for aid among both domestic and international NGOs.
This workshop is an excellent opportunity to learn from qualified experts with significant experience with leading anti-corruption campaigns at the local level. The workshop program consists of the following stages:
- Monitoring city authorities’ work: practical aspects (using Drohobych as an example);
- Legal tools to fight corruption – how to use them;
- The role of civil society in fighting against corruption: how to prevent acts of corruption;
- Corruption at the local level: monitoring of the allocation of the budget funds and analyzing the execution of performed activities;
- Anti-corruption coalitions: how to get support at the regional level from international and non-governmental organizations.
The number of participants is limited. The representatives of regional non-governmental organizations, public activists and people interested in fighting corruption at the local level are welcome to attend the event. Those willing to participate have to register before 11am, June 22th, 2018 at http://bit.ly/2LDlDSY
